The Banks

Sass Go

History of The Banks

For years, our team served communities across the U.S. and abroad—educating, advocating, and building practical systems for safety and recovery. Along the way, SASS Go reached more than 36,323 people across four continents, partnering with schools, nonprofits, and government agencies. Those partnerships grew to include leaders at the U.S. Department of State and Justice, the UN, CDC, FBI, the U.S. Military, NCIS, and WHO, sharpening our understanding of what survivors and responders truly need.

Our Timeline

From years of frontline work to building a campus for second-stage healing.

Years of Fieldwork

For years, SASS Go worked on the front lines—training, advocacy, and consulting across four continents and serving 36,300+ people. That work with schools, nonprofits, and agencies like the U.S. Department of State and Justice, the UN, CDC, FBI, the U.S. Military, and more revealed both best practices and blind spots. Those lessons shaped a clear, compassionate model for what survivors and communities need next.

The Gap Emerges

Again and again, SASS Go saw the same pattern: crisis response existed, but the “second stage” was missing. After the immediate emergency, survivors and families were left piecing together services scattered across providers and places—often without time, money, or clarity to continue healing. Naming this gap (Crisis → Second Stage → Sustainable Future) made the next step obvious: build the bridge.

The Banks Defined

The Banks is that bridge: a Christ-led, restorative, two-week residential program that centralizes care to reduce retraumatization. Guests will receive integrated services like counseling, advocacy, legal and medical coordination, wellness, and daily living support. Plus restorative activities like art, gardening, recreation, and equine-assisted therapy. Each guest will leave with a customized, pre-approved plan and vetted local providers for sustained progress at home.

Scaling Care

Located in South Carolina’s Midlands, the campus plan includes 14 guest cottages and a multipurpose/conference building—serving about 350 guests annually while training thousands of professionals. The Banks anticipates ~48 qualified team members in the first two years, with a phased build (doors targeted ~2–2.5 years from site identification) and a vision to expand the model to additional U.S. locations.
