A PEACEFUL SPACE FOR WOMEN TO HEAL AFTER ASSAULT AND ABUSE BECAUSE SERENITY, SAFETY, AND SUPPORT CHANGE EVERYTHING.
Current statistics frame a world where 1 in 3 women experience relationship violence, stalking, or sexual abuse in their lifetime. Pain and suffering follow these tragedies and the darkness of feeling alone, fearful, and misunderstood can be too much to bear day after day. The path back to confidence and light feels impossible to find.
The Banks offers a solution for women by providing both the path and professional support needed to begin healing. This blueprint includes the necessary rest, education, and essential skills needed to thrive again while on campus and upon returning to the outside world. Thank you for your interest in this endeavor.

Campus
Located in the heart of South Carolina, The Banks will offer wraparound support to 350 survivors annually while also providing training for thousands of professionals who assist them.
The Banks will feature a conference center for community and professional trainings, along with 14 cottages and a multipurpose building to accommodate counseling, legal, wellness, and dining services for survivors during their two-week stay.

Healing
Within this serene and safe environment, The Banks guests experience comfort while participating in various extracurricular activities such as gardening, art, recreational, and equine-assisted therapy.
Every person, path, and plan at The Banks is thoughtfully selected to foster wisdom, confidence, and growth for our guests. The central water feature contributes to an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility.
Wellness
Interpersonal violence and abuse lead to both physical and emotional damage, resulting in extended anxiety, depression, and daily life challenges for survivors and their families. The Banks is not a treatment facility, but rather, an educational and restorative campus tailored to a specific community.
By centralizing care in one location, The Banks minimizes retraumatization through a unified wellness plan and continued support from our reliable specialists.

Support
Our resort-like campus provides respite from the stress of everyday life, while our low staff-to-guest ratio ensures thoughtful personalized care. During a typical two-week stay, our guests will participate in individual and group therapy, educational programming, extracurricular activities, and quintessential downtime to process and connect with other survivors.
Guests' wellness plans also include a blueprint for continued support and healing beyond their two-week stay. Before leaving The Banks, our team connects each guest with vetted professionals within their home community to ensure long-term success.
